How to use the Contraction Timer?

  1. Press the "Contraction Start" button when a contraction begins.
  2. Press the "Contraction Stop" button when the contraction ends.

The app calculates the duration of the contraction by measuring the time between the start and stop buttons.

When the next contraction begins, repeat the process.

Early labor:

  • The cervix dilates from fully closed to 3 centimeters (cm).
  • Contractions are mild, resembling menstrual cramps, and irregular.
  • Each contraction lasts 30 to 45 seconds and occurs every five to 20 minutes.

Active labor:

  • The cervix will continue to dilate from 4 cm to 7 cm.
  • Contractions become stronger and longer, lasting 45 to 60 seconds.
  • Spacing between contractions typically ranges from 3 to 5 minutes.

This stage indicates it is time to head to the hospital.

Transition:

  • The cervix fully opens from 8 cm to 10 cm in this final phase before delivery.
  • Contractions may be very intense and prolonged, lasting around 60 to 90 seconds with short breaks of only 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

Important:

  • If your water breaks, seek immediate medical attention regardless of contraction frequency.

It is crucial to maintain regular contact with your healthcare provider throughout pregnancy and before childbirth.

How to use the Kick Counter?

  1. Get into a comfortable position, either lying on your side or sitting in a relaxing chair.
  2. Focus solely on your baby's movements.
  3. Press the "KICK" button whenever you feel movement (excluding hiccups).

Your baby doesn't need to move exactly ten times every two hours but should have several active hours daily.

Important:

  • If your baby kicks less than ten times in a two-hour span, consult a doctor immediately.
